What is Shadowrocket?

Shadowrocket is a rule-based client for iPhone and iPad. It creates a VPN configuration on your device, stores the subscriptions or servers you add, and routes traffic by rules.

It is not a proxy service. The App Store listing sells the software: a one-time purchase of the client, with no servers, subscriptions, or data included. Whether the remote server works is your provider's responsibility.

The official app is for iOS and iPadOS only. This purchase does not cover Android.

Who makes it and where to buy it

The developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. The official app is only on the App Store. The app ID is id932747118. Official link: apps.apple.com/us/app/shadowrocket/id932747118.

The official name is Shadowrocket. To verify the listing or if it is missing from your storefront, see how to download Shadowrocket.

Why the client and the servers are separate

Installing the app only means you have a client that can build a tunnel. Home staying on Not Connected is normal until you add a subscription or server.

Troubleshoot the same way: a wrong install or a failed VPN permission is an app or system issue. High latency, an expired subscription, or a failure only in Proxy is a server issue. Do not reinstall the app to fix an expired server.

What this site is

This is a guide to the official App Store client. It is not the developer's website and not the in-app help center. The pages are static: no accounts, no proxy, and no subscriptions or server addresses for sale.

Content is split by task. Each page is meant to stand on its own:
